For a long time, I didnt allow God in my life. The worst of it is, it was after I had a strong connection the divine. I can't even pinpoint when it was when my faith faltered, but I know that it was a bottomless pit of despair. Here recently, a person that has been very instrumental in bringing god into my life full fold the first time, has reemerged. I love this person with all my very being, however, she is in agonizing emotional pain over the seperation of 9 year relationship with a now ex-fiance. I pray for the strength to be what she needs, not for her to return my emotional investment. I want her to return to the vibrant person that proved to me beyond a shadow of a doubt, that God is the answer.

Words can't express how truely shattered I am right now. D2jsp has been a crutch for me through some difficult times in my life, this might be the toughest. I could really use some help.


This instance, I don't know if I can survive. If any of you have the warmth of God's presence, please pray for this girl. Her name is Nicolette, and to me she is the purest soul possible.

Hmmmm, I don't doubt that she is special but I hope you aren't making an 'idol' out of her, as in raising her to the status of God.

If she is in emotional pain she needs time to get over the initial emotional pain. In the mean time all you can do is be there for her if she needs anything.

As for prayer, I'll add that to the list.

Very wise observation. I know that I can be there for her, no matter what she needs from me, because of my faith. I know that the most important thing is god will make happen
what ever needs to happen, for the betterment of the big picture.
