which one of us is right?

so main question is, is cache same as cookies?

KrisIsBack doesn't believe it and he is giving out false info in general chat.

And I know this is very stupid question, I'm 100% sure that they aren't same thing but would like to get confirmation from you since KrisIsBack doesn't believe me.

I don't, and I'm sure I know better than you.

you can ask anyone else that cache isn't same as cookies

Its exactly the same for browsers. I'm helping in general help even befor you joined in JSP.
Please dont learn me how to help.

join date has nothing to do with the knowledge of computers.

cookies keep login infos, cache keeps pictures & css stylesheets

cache is same as temp internet files, not same as cookies.

here is proves for you if you still wanna argue more, I think google's analytics don't agree with you or?

If the browser you're using or a page you're viewing is displaying problems, first try clearing the browser's cache. If that doesn't fix the problem, next try clearing the browser's cookies.

I'm not gonna argue, because I know I'm right.
Everyone will told you the same in the forum.

Please do not pm me anymore.

The Cache and Cookies are indeed two separate issues and are completely unrelated.

Cookies are just the crumbs of data left behind to identify something about you.
The Cache is just data that your browser does not want or have to reload. If you set your browsers cache limit to 1KB. You would still be capable of handling more than 1 KB worth of cookies.

Did you know? Most browsers when you manually refresh the page will clear the cache for content that appears on that page.
Did you know? Cookies are most commonly used for login sessions or tracking referrers.

A cache is a cache because its supposed to be static. Not ever changing as cookies may behave.
Also the website that creates a cookie can delete the cookie they placed if they want. A common example would be logout. Websites can't do that with the cache.

Doubt it. I'll make it more clear.

Cookies and cache are not related at all. While they are both "places to put things," their usage is completely different. Cookies keep textual information snippets so the site can read and write information about you. A client-side cache is stored in the client only -- the server has no access to this. Likewise, the server-side cache cannot be directly read by or written to by the client. Neither party has to know about the others' cache, while the cookie is built on an agreement.
