Hi fellow computer cracks. I recently have issues with my computer. I think I cannot avoid reformating it sooner or later, but I wanna wait till I can afford win 7 so it pays off. anyway, until that happens i still want to be able to use the tools and software I kinda used almost everyday in the past years. the most important programm atm is PHOTOSHOP ! I have Photoshop CS 3 Extended. When I want to open it it starts loading the resources etc and then an error occurs:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error

Runtime Error!

Program: F:\blablablabla etc

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact blablabla etc

note: "blablabla etc" stands of unimportant stuff of course ~~

THAT IS THE FIRST PROBLEM !

I now deinstalled cs3 and deleted everything that belongs to it and got myself a portable version of PS CS4. somehow, a file with all the photoshop shit remained on my drive. I wanted to delete it manually, but it wont let me do it. says something like : access denied.

any idea?

let me know if problem one has something to do with problem two. If the "not being able to delete the photoshop folder" doesnt matter, and you can help me getting rid of that runtime error I´ll be just fine.

I find this section to be more appropiate than the "idiots flooded" general help section. I´ve never posted there and I prolly never will :D

Perhaps you should post there rather than here. Also, contact technical support for Photoshop. Also, buy it first.

I'm not sure if it's different for windows, but go to start, run, type 'regedit' then browse the window that pops up for any folders related to adobe and just remove them. Be careful with it ;)
