What's the point of doing this to her?

WASHINGTON — President Trump lashed out on Wednesday at the Nordstrom department store chain for dropping his daughter Ivanka’s accessories and clothing line, once again raising ethical questions about the relationship between his presidency and his family’s sprawling business interests.

Mr. Trump has already broken with tradition by singling out companies for criticism, like Boeing, Lockheed Martin, automakers and news organizations, sometimes causing gyrations in their stock prices and prompting debates about whether corporations would tailor their conduct to suit a bellicose president. But in those cases, his ire targeted government contracts, departing American jobs or news coverage — not his own family’s personal fortunes.

Six days after Nordstrom announced that, based on sales, it would no longer carry Ms. Trump’s products — a decision that prompted some Trump supporters to call for a boycott of the stores — the president took to Twitter to complain that “Ivanka has been treated so unfairly” by the company. He first posted the message from his personal account, and then re-sent it from his official White House account.

Last week, T.J. Maxx and Marshalls stores sent a note to employees — a copy of which was obtained by The New York Times — telling them to throw away signs for Ivanka Trump products.

“Effective immediately, please remove all Ivanka Trump merchandise from features and mix into” the racks where most products hang, the note read. “All Ivanka Trump signs should be discarded.”

The instruction was to eliminate special displays for the merchandise, “not to remove it from the sales floor,” said Doreen Thompson, a spokeswoman for the TJX Companies, the retailers’ parent corporation.

Might be the most divisive United States I've ever seen lol

But really, the president uses his official platform, his official POTUS Twitter account, to sabotage an independent business because they hurt his feelings and you're mad that they made a perfectly reasonable business decision?

Even a child running a lemonade stand would know politics are bad for business

maybe if they weren't all silver spoonfed babies they wouldn't have made such a rookie business mistake.

The point of doing what? Aren't the sales of her line awful? Seems like a simple business decision, one you would think Trump would understand.

Also, that boycott is pretty funny, considering Nordstrom's stock has climbed by something like 7% since Trump tweeted about it. lel

Trump is a billionaire. Why would somebody so rich bother worrying about such small business affairs? This is obviously not what Trump is doing, and he doesn't care about his family's money at all. He wouldn't do petty shit to pad his retirement account with a slightly higher bank balance.

Well obviously the real wrongness done here is the damage done to the ego of the President of the United States, the Multimillionaire, the successful enterpreneur and the Star of the show The Apprentice, the well beloved and loved by everyone including himself and others - Mister President Donald J. Trump.

It is ridiculous to even suggest that such a hugely successful person would be just trying satisfy his narcissism at every turn possible because nothing at all can bring him the true satisfaction that he is searching for because he actually lacks any sort of a personality at all outside of the one that he wishes to be true if only enough people were to believe in his personality. It's not like he outright lies all the time, and actually seems to believe the lies that he is telling because otherwise the world that he has created in order to feel like an actual person might collapse.

vote BoJack 2020

I wouldn't be surprised. He has literally no morals.
