I'm in the mood for a nice, classy ideology debate.

Let's keep it clean, but try to identify what you consider to be your personal social/economic ideology, and talk about your stances.

I'm a Social Democrat/Democratic Socialist, big supporter of the New Democratic Party of Canada.

I believe the government should provide quality care for most important services such as healthcare, education, social security, etc.

I also believe monopolies should be regulated or controlled by the state.

For the most part, I believe in a Mixed Economy.

I have a liberal approach to social politics, I believe in gay rights, I'm pro-choice, etc.

I believe in a more independent foreign policy for my home and native land.

Along with heavy reform for our democratic process.

I believe that none of these things are possible without an accountable, transparent government.

I have to admit, as libertarian ideas aren't much of a thing here, I really had a distorted view of libertarian politics. (I think this happens to a lot of people with democratic socialism)

I have a lot more respect for it now, It's just still not my game.

Better than what's going on in the states now.

I really don't like Ron's stance on abortion, seems kinda backwards from his other views.

Reactionary ultra-nationalist.

I also oppose the cultural cyanide of feminism.

Authoritarian nationalist, fiscally centre-right, you could say I'm liberal on social issues because I think the government shouldn't care about those.

To explain the nationalist, more in the mold of support a nation. No racism, I don't believe such a thing exists as an ethnic national identity. If you support your country I don't care what part of the world your ancestors come from. There is a national identity though. Also traditional nationalist principles such as protectionism and isolationism are detrimental to a nation, and should be abandoned.

You really can't derive prescriptions from peoples views like that, Ron Paul might not believe in abortion but it is more of a personal belief he practices, that doesn't extend as an ought .

That is the main difference with libertarian ideology, they don't practice anything except reductions and negations, no real plans for implementation even if they had power.

It is pure apriori theory and rationalizations based on untestable/untested assumption, often using a baseless morality seemingly from a children's book, normally from some malformed economic claim.
