I don't feel like this is off topic, and to be honest this forum is far more up to date with news / the media. I'm sure there are people who are on this fourm willing to talk about a domestic consumerism practices... I think what i underlined is along the lines of political discussion? If im wrong than im wrong D: But Id rather have this fourms discussion on this topic.

EDIT: Please lets not make  a discussion about if its right area to post or not btw - If its wrong it will get ' closed '

This is not the place for homework. There is a specific subforum for that. We aren't going to do your research for you and we aren't going to write your paper for you. It's informal subforum policy. If you want to get something from us, make a statement and we can discuss that statement. Show that you've done your own share of the work.

Vouch. PaRD will gleefully discuss an issue to wit's end, but the moment it becomes apparent it's homework, we clam up tighter than a bull's ass at fly time.

However, I'm feeling a little helpful at the moment, so my own take on this might be tax structure, in how we tax income generation far more than consumption. Our tax structure encourages consumption, rather than saving and creating.
