are you having trouble grasping the concept of causality and how noah came before jesus or the implications of the story of noah?

IF you live for 400 years and waste those years on destruction of the planet we live on, what else could God do just watch us kill all life on this planet? Or is the better way to start fresh with a few people, who know how to protect life. And follow the golden rules.
Was it something that was going to happen through nature? or was it Gods wrath. Either way he warned and gave all a chance to help build the Ark.
plus he made sure they had time to collect all species on earth with a flute? Seems to me we lost some History here, what if that flute was a needle and the ark was not a ship made of wood but something else. God did say all who helped would be welcomed to survive, what if they all helped Noah?
