How would you fix the oil problem?

Relief well is the only thing that is going to work. They already knew this - they did the exact same shit in 1979 with the Ixtoc blowout in Mexico and that well was nearer to shore and at less depth. All the crap they are doing now is just for the media.

The only other "solution" that has been offered by the Russians is to nuke the thing. Yeah, I don't think that will happen.

What we need is to get the supertankers that the Saudis have and used when they had a massive blowout of 700 million gallon in 1992 in the Persian Gulf. They offered them to us, but we haven't accepted. Not using supertankers to pull the oil off the water and continuing to use toxic dispersant that just create worse problems undersea is a dipshit move.

Siphon the oil out with oil rigs until they get it fixed on the bottom

If only all of you extreme leftists hadn't tried to demonize the Saudis and made it difficult to work with them without getting tons of flak by trying to blame them for 9/11 and whatnot, maybe this would have been easier.

Wat? The Saudis are offering them to us. We aren't using them because it makes BP more profit to leave the tankers onshore.


Oh yeah, IRAN offered to help as well.
