I wish some candidate would just come up with the idea to make the lobbying business illegal, as it should be.

Andrew Yang is this candidate.

Could make the argument to expand this to more than just executive branch to much of all senators and representatives.

He also has talked about "democracy dollars" to look up that Kirsten Gillibrand has followed suit to talk about to push as well.

He's also for adding 18 year terms to supreme court justices instead of life time appointments.

Andrew Yang is the best candidate in 2020.

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio becomes 24th Democrat to seek White House

Most New Yorkers appear unenthusiastic about de Blasio’s presidential aspirations. A Quinnipiac University poll in April found more than three-quarters of New Yorkers did not feel he should make a White House bid.

De Blasio faces an uphill battle to stand out in a crowded field that includes former Vice President Joe Biden and a long list of experienced politicians. A Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Wednesday found 1 percent of Americans supporting de Blasio for president.

I don't think this guy is gonna make any real showing.

Of course not, lol! Even the residents of his own city consider him a failure.

He’s certainly the best (D) candidate since Obama. In a legit primary him and Tulsi would lead the field.

But the DNC will crush him unfortunately. Hes not messing around with that divisive identity nonsense that privileged lefties worship, and is sticking with issues that can and frequently do appeal to all people. Some of points will need to be adjusted to reality, but he seems to get the persuasive approach that Obama and Trump have.

Hope he learns from the inevitable screwjob he will get (unlike Barnie) and runs either independent or (R) in 2024

Yang is trash who tries to put a 'cool' and approachable/moderate rhetorical spin on countless massive government programs and extreme ignorance.

No amount of pandering and word salad will make me support a hyper-authoritarian leftist.

Lets start going down the list for the aptly named 'yang gang'-

1. Gun Control

Heavy.

"a stringent, tiered licensing system for gun ownership"

"I’d start fining gun manufacturers $1 million for each person killed by their weapons. "

Ban ownership of semi-automatic firearms for people who don't have a tier-1 license for over a year and then pass a state-mandated course.
Also banned for everyone under 21, because apparently 18-20 year old adults dont deserve to be able to defend themselves and their families.
Mandate purchase of a gun locker or trigger lock for all firearms and must provide a receipt to the government.
Ban standard 'high capacity' magazines.
National firearms registry.
Use stolen funds to buy 'back' firearms
Use stolen funds to help create tech to prevent non-owners from firing weapons(fingerprint-id type stuff), with the explicit intent to make it a federal requirement once its developed to his tastes.

This is automatically disqualifying for any candidate, but thats just the tip of the iceberg

U.S. Supreme Court blocks redrawing of Ohio, Michigan electoral maps

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-court-gerrymandering/u-s-supreme-court-blocks-redrawing-of-ohio-michigan-electoral-maps-idUSKCN1SU292

Quote
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Supreme Court on Friday blocked lower court rulings ordering Republican legislators in Michigan and Ohio to redraw U.S. congressional maps ahead of the 2020 elections, dealing a blow to Democrats who had argued that the electoral districts were intended to unlawfully diminish their political clout.

The justices granted requests from Republican lawmakers in both states to put those decisions on hold, halting further action in the cases and the need to rework electoral district boundaries. The justices did not provide any explanation for their brief orders.

Quote
But the action by the justices was not unexpected as they weigh two other gerrymandering cases - one from North Carolina and the other from Maryland - that could decide definitively whether federal judges have the power to intervene to curb partisan gerrymandering. The rulings in those cases, due by the end of June, are likely to dictate whether the legal challenges against the Ohio and Michigan electoral maps can move forward.

At this time these are just temporary holds.
