The Nazi party has Christian beliefs in them and it is not uncommon knowledge to know this.
Main point. Using your coined Hitler as reference, he did not seek out to conquer and commit genocide “in the name of atheism.”
Even if he was an atheist, which text shows him to have a twisted form of Völkisch and Christianity, he didn’t do anything in the name of atheism. He went after Jews because of their culture, not their religion.
Whereas we have ISIS, committing similar heinous acts of brutality, doing so in the name of their god.
You can have a Christian person go and shoot up a black congregation, in a church, because they didn’t like black people and didn’t like their culture. They didn’t necessarily do it in the name of Christianity.
