You mean like Libya? Kim is smarter than that. He is not going to give up his nukes, and the United States isn't going to remove their military from China's back door.

He is very intelligent and knows what he is doing. Which is good for us because he wont nuke us unless he is forced to.

I've talked to a couple people about how nuclear arms are a logical end goal for regimes like Iran and NK.

People tend to underestimate the position a nation is put in when they have nuclear arms. They essentially become impossible to be invaded, and very unlikely to engage in traditional warfare with another nation armed with nuclear weapons.

Even if we are 98% sure Iron Dome or whatever system we have in place can shoot down all the missiles, that 2% can still wipe out one or more cities, and that's not a risk we can take on an invasion if they decide to let nukes fly in retaliation.

It effectively secures their position in the world and all change must then come from within, or covertly from outside.


Anyway I just had a lot of people recently tell me "If they get nukes we'll invade! So they should stop!" not understanding that invasion becomes the absolute last resort against a nuclear nation.

Intelligent doesn't mean nice.
