by the way, puigdemont will be released from prison on friday morning until a final decision is made
has to pay 75.000€ and is not allowed to leave the country, while informing the state attorney where he can be found
rebellion/high treason is officially off the table and only the embezzlement charge remains, which is not enough to keep him in prison and i agree tbh
for most law experts this is the expected outcome for now, whether you agree with the general legislation or not (you surely will find many felonies that are punishable in one country, but not the other, does that really have to mean you are pretty much save just because you left?) thats another discussion
but thats how things are atm and its a good thing that there could be an independant investigation and we are fulfilling our legal duties
i wonder, if puigdemont will try to get out of germany and back to belgium, its not like anyone will stop him at the border, but he will surely be under surveillance
maybe spain will even retract their request
€: i would like to add that all of this does leave a bitter taste behind
certain people want europe to come closer and closer together, but when separatists are trying to illegally dismantle a member state you wont get any help from the rest
spain is a democratic and free constitutional state with the highest standards and we dont trust them to give a man a fair trial for the things he has done there?

I don't really understand islamophobia either tbh. In a way it's restricting freedom of speech to progress to anything. ^_^
i agree
