Trump correctly understands how extreme the Republican base is, and how little they care for policy. He treats them how the media shoud have been treating them 6 years ago and in many ways he's the first national candidate to do it. It's perfectly reasonable for a large number of Republicans to support him, given what they support/oppose.

Trump basically confirming a scenario that I've been pitching since July or so, that if he found himself low in the polls he'd get out of the race. His ego and vanity couldn't allow him to be branded a loser so the stakes for him in Iowa, New Hampshire, and on down the line are tremendous. It sets up an opportunity for him to bow out after March 1st if he doesn't get the organization in place to compete on Super Tuesday, or even to get out earlier than that if he fades before the voting even starts.

The guy's moving his mouth and the words are coming out. It doesn't get more obvious than that, and it aligns with facts on the ground as well as historical precedent. I don't know what it is about the head-nodding crowd that's so resistant to evidence but you people are really going to be in for a surprise if he decides to bail. It's not going to shock anyone else. No one else in their primary has this kind of pressure or demand in February.



Stop humiliating yourself, it's pathetic. It'd be one thing if it was funny but it isn't. You could at least go back to being entertaining by attempting to discuss politics or government.
