If I can convince my wife that we should come back to the East Coast then I'll keep climbing in Virginia politics. The 2017 gubernatorial campaign in the state will be for all the marbles and I'd love to help the Democrats win that race so we can get fair districts in the state, both for the state legislature and for the U.S. House districts. Virginia would become a beacon for state governance if we were simply able to get rid of the bullshit GOP gerrymandering in place. If Mark Warner decided that he'd like to come back and be governor again then it would be amazing to help run his campaign, and obviously the same would go for if he finally decided to take a shot at a presidential campaign in 2016. If either of our Senators gets tapped as a VP choice in 2016 or 2020 then I'd love to help with that too of course. If not Virginia politics then I'll just keep working at the federal level, maybe try to get something in a state office for Maria Cantwell or Patty Murray if we settle in Washington state.

Religiously there's not much to consider, it'll depend entirely on if we want a religious institution to be involved as we raise our daughter and any future kids.
