And yet liberals are the true racists hating brown people.

And yet conservatives are the only people who say things like "race card" when anything is said about the past treatment of blacks during the years many conservatives pine for.

/e this election is going to get bad I can feel it

You mean the days when the Democratic Party and the KKK were in bed together? Those days?

Clearly anecdotal evidence from you settles it.  Admittedly, I was a lot younger and less politically aware from 1976-1980, but I don't recall Earl having quite the same prominence as Hussein for some reason.  And no one, as far as I can remember, ran to the courthouse in Plains to examine Carter's birth certificate. The visceral hatred for the President is higher than I've ever seen it, but you're right, it must be a coincidence that he's black.

...is this the same visceral hatred the left holds toward GWB ? Stop with the hyperbole please ,I don't buy it .

Yes, back when the Democratic party had strong southern conservative roots and liberals like Teddy Roosevelt still existed on the Republican side.

How the times have changed.

Any more history lessons?

It is amazing at the double standard that can be seen. Joe Biden's statement likely would end other politicians careers. Yet some want to see this swept under the rug. Kind of hard to believe Biden is a heart beat away from the Presidency.

"The Biden Double Standard"

http://www.commentarymagazine.com/2012/08/14/the-joe-biden-double-standard-vice-presidency-paul-ryan-racial-incitement/

snippet from Alana Goodman's piece:

Quote
...The Obama campaign is defending Biden’s racially charged comment, and why not? If past Biden-related goofs are any prediction, this controversy may not have much shelf life. Once again, the media may simply shrug and dismiss this as “Biden being Biden.”

That’s unfortunate, because journalists can’t expect to be fair analysts of the race unless they’re willing to hold Biden accountable for remarks that could ruin any other politician’s career. Right now, every move Paul Ryan makes is being evaluated under a microscope — as it should. But is it too much to ask that our sitting vice president be held to the same standards? He is, after all, a heartbeat away from the presidency at this very moment.

My hyperbole? And here I was thinking I needed to license any hyperbole from you to use it on the forum. Whether or not the President is an American is a question I've never seen come up--let alone stick around--ever. But, again, it must be a coincidence that he's black.

Both parties are despicable in their own way. It's as much a matter of which form of absurdity you find less objectionable as anything else. I can see it in the left; why can't you see it in the right?

Eh, I'm willing to give Biden the benefit of doubt that he didn't play the race card. However, I guarantee that if a Republican said this, the Democrats would be up in arms.

Oh look, more manufactured outrage from the Romney campaign because Paul Ryan is getting torched in interviews and neither he nor Romney can run away from his budget fast enough. The irony is that the comment is a callback to Paul Ryan's own response to the 2011 State of the Union. A year ago this week, Rick Santorum used the same exact phrase when he was giving a stump speech during a segment where he was misrepresenting "Obamacare." Predictably, the Republicans didn't have any problem with it then. They didn't care when Allen West claimed that Obama "would rather you be his slave," either.
