Again, it's just my observations from 6 years of university. I'm sure I've stats on it too, but I couldn't recall the exact numbers.

As for evidence, I only have my phone so my capacity for doing so is limited...research is slow and a good amount of pages won't load on my failberry. I might give it a shot though. Or one of you privileged types on a real computer can help me out here.

I could go on my colleges website and access all of my colleges databases and articles and stuff since they have access to OhioLink (huge collection of resources most colleges in Ohio have access to) but I'm too lazy to do that. I'd have to login with my library card with the info on it.

...kids on the college level tend to conform to the liberal bias of their professors unless they happen to be of very deep conviction . Once away from the leftist brainwashing of the university most will swing back to the center .

And to go back to my original point, according to this: http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2006/pages/results/states/US/H/00/epolls.0.html 58% of post graduates (masters/phds) voted democrat and only 41% voted republican. This is just one poll, so I wouldn't say it proves my claim, but it certainly supports it.

i do believe i remember hearing Rick Santorum call Obama a "snob" for saying he wanted to help everybody go to college... i understand that that's no where near the common view, but he was in line for the nomination so a good portion of people had to be following him

Most if not all college professors are phds, and most people who have phds are college professors. So yeah, if you're suggesting that most college professors are left leaning, then it follows most phds are left leaning.

...no , it does not follow even if it's correct . You can't paint all phd's with the same brush as professors with phd's .

As a anecdotal note the overwhelming majority of medical doctors I have met in America are far from liberal .
