My point was I want to see him executed by whatever constitutional means thats available. I don't believe in a torturous painful death despite the fact that the SOB deserves to have somebody draw a Blood Eagle on his back, I just want to see him die an honor-less death.

the thing is: if we throw our laws and respect for basic human rights out of the window by publicy torturing the guy to death, we would not only lose whatever moral highground we might have left, we would also be feeding the trolls. metaphorically, ISIS would be bringing out the "triggggered-meme-gifs" and celebrate the torture death of their disciple as a big victory. it would prove to them that the terror attack was successful at unhinging us.

Yes, and at the same time calling for the even the death penalty at all, as our president has, and which I disagree wholeheartedly, means the terrorist has an opportunity to become a martyr and a recruitment tool. Forcing him to stay alive in a shameful existence is a far better punishment, and gives our opponents nothing in return.

Best thing I've heard in a while.

I am not talking iut of my ass. Everything ive stated is true and ive never heard or seen any sort if impact on society or politics based on muslims opposing thier radicals, condemning or ostracizing them. If i have to go out of my way to research it, then it is a very minor and non impactful movement of the few.

You should read what i say very thoroughly, btw. Its meaning might escape you.

What does he specialize his training in?

We should put him in a camp.

Yes it's true, that's the point of view of believers and martyrs
Unfortunately your small mind isn't able to handle it

Why would I want to just make an individual experience agony? And I do not believe in prison. Slavery is a mockery of creation. I would want that person on the street as an example of what we do to them. Vlad wasn't famous for legal prosecution, he was famous for putting the heads of enemy combatants on stakes and lining national borders with them to intimidate his enemies. Vlad's idea was okay, but people can always look away from a dead man's head. It's much more difficult to ignore a person with no limbs begging for food in the streets because he was associated with a terrorist cell.

The state doesn't have the right to torture you or should not be able to take away your life. But the collective state offers protection against what is seen as negative or counter productive to society and as such you remove those from society who don't deserve to be apart of it.

The government however has no part in your life since that's your life. So it has no right to inflict physical violence onto you as a mean of punishment or to take your life.

Prison isn't slavery , it's a means to an end to control what collectively a society wants to prevent from being apart of society.

I know you are going to go off about the fact minority groups are the majority of the prison population but that doesn't mean you can conflate that to mean slavery. What that is , is simply just a misapplication of justice.

Maybe that's why you think center left or left leaning is center right or people who lean liberal aren't real liberals to you because you have abandoned the ideas of classical liberalism to suit your own ideological pursuit of "justice" but don't realize you end up just being a form of authoritarianism that you despise the far right/conservatives for adhering too.
