The paradigm has shifted and it hasnt been this in decades.

Your definition is a little anachronistic.

Health insurance are health plans. Even dental and vision is addressed. Nobody needs emergency contact lenses but that is covered.

I'm an anachronistic kinda guy, what can I say?

In the context you are using it conservative just means social control.

You guys just need to let go and quit trying to control other people.

That's because you have rose-tinted glasses on yet think your perception is objective.

No, conservative in this context means the way things were, for like ever.

I don't care what you or others do but don't expect me to call red blue just because it has become fashionable.

It really gets old having to show conservatives that things weren't always the 1950's.

Or, you know, since the beginning of recorded human history. Travel back in time and ask any human in almost every culture from every era what marriage is and the answer remains consistent.

Factually incorrect.

For the VAST MAJORITY of human history, marriage was a property agreement with the "wife" being essentially sold to the husband by her family.

Hell, there are still cultures today that don't have marriage as a concept and fatherhood is essentially anonymous.

Today I learned the Roman Empire, Native Americans, sub-Saharan Africa, Australian aborigines, and all of Asia didn't exist until 300 AD and all of them immediately converted to Christianity after being pagans for only 3 weeks.

Didn't know marriage became a thing only after Christianity. Good one.

Marriage being clearly defined precedes all religions. Even if some ancients enjoyed diddling little boys does not mean they married them.

Marriage as you're defining it wasn't a thing until the early 1900's.

Ten years ago your ignorance might have been excusable, but you've been involved in the topic enough that it's hard to say your ignorance isn't willfull.

I would edit this stupidity as quickly as possible mate. Marriage the way i'm defining is as old as time.

Only conservatives believe that trannys are new.

You took your individual lifestyle, defined it as North on the moral compass, and want to punish those who are different. Saying that human sexuality was different in the good old days is deceptive, because humans have always been a bunch of freak a leeks. You said the "your subjective is objective" thing because I just said that yesterday and what that fits is pinning personal morality to objective good, what you're doing here, instead of my slippery slope relativism...which really rejects an objective reality, something ive consistently done for awhile.

Human sexuality has not changed, but language changes to get more accurate and precise over time. Conservatives really struggle with change, but the world changes, no matter how they feel or how attached they are to the myth of 50's Leave it to Beaver America.

By the way, your appeal to tradition, the way things were, that image is a projection of your own desires onto the world and has no bearing in reality. The only great thing about the 50s was Keynesian economics.
