that happens with the one-fits-all litigation prevention approach to medicine
plus for hospitals contracts with pharma-companies/-distributors ensure that there is only one option
also good proven medication is taken off the market due to patent expiration issues

All true, the drug patent industry is about the worst managed in the world.
We have terminal patients that could be saved by new medicines dying without even getting a chance to try it because "the drug needs to be tested to make sure it is safe"..
Pretty sure 1% chance of living tops 100% chance of death.

Another wonderful regulation, I'm surprised you don't support it.

cannot agree more, been through that
waiting for 16 hours while my wife was operated on with a 1% survival chance
lucky we were able to convince surgeons to try
most don't like to perform risky operations because it taints their name if a patient dies
but back to medication
it's not just the newer medications but also old tested ones
take eg tetracycline, because of patent expiry you will only get it now in acne medication
and the newer antibiotics might not help as much or not at all

SSRI's actually don't help that much with minor to mild or even moderate depression.... the problem is (and the reason suicidal tendencies are listed as a side-effect) is that they take depressed people who would not normally have the energy to kill themselves, and give them a little bit of that energy back before they can affect the depression at all.....

other than that this correlation is more likely between depressed people and shootings/suicides... not the meds they are on, though i'm sure people have already pointed that out.

this is actually not true.... you wanna know why doctors and any healthcare provider is hesitant to do risky procedures? lawsuits......

lawsuits destroy the healthcare community when they are let to run rampant... you wanna hear one of the saddest things in the world? a physician in a civilian setting is free from liability if they take care of a person EXCEPT if they are a specialist practicing in their own specialty... in that case, they are responsible and can be sued for anything that happens.... an example, an OB/GYN is in the grocery store, and a pregnant woman goes into labor, if he/she helps that pregnant woman they can be sued... however if an endocrinologist tries to help, they can't...... fucked.... up... shit

Complaining = mean? And I just looked at my last 10 posts, I've made some statements about some propaganda pushed by societies worst public figures, but I haven't "complained" recently. How does one go about pointing out the obvious failures of society without "complaining?"

I think you're just angry because I point out your hypocritical statements, and you know on a deeper level the things I talk about are true and it bothers you a great deal.
