retrograde concept!
Old Testament has no effect today. consider for life is a mistake.
the new testament of Jesus derogates the old.

Like I said, I'm not one who follows the Bible.

Can you change your verbiage for somebody who does not read that book?

yes I can!
moral reform.
ethical conduct.
mutual respect.
what do not want for me I do not do to others. (if such conduct were global, we would not have more wars)
all religions claim that, but men do as he pleases.

All religions say this I understand. Live life good, not bad. Positive and not negative. I get that.

To keep on the topic- Do all religions say death is an acceptable punishment for mocking the Lord or only the bible and this Elisha is jeered story?

death is not a punishment!
there is no eternal punishment.
yes there is repair of faults committed (law of cause and effect)
death is the return of the spirit to your home world.

edit
Most people prefer to believe in eternal punishment, sin, etc ...
is a selfish point of view, because only a few will be saved.
believing in a Creator perfect in all attributes, it will never happen.
have every opportunity to evolve morally and intellectually.
we call it perfect justice, kindness and mercy.

Who wrote the New International Version of the Bible and thought it was best to use " Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the boys." as the best way to describe how best to live life?

The nut jobs who wrote this stuff must of been on some awesome drugs.

If you believe that a spirit is eternal, not.
what a carnal existence for an eternity?

What is there to disagree with?    You said " Life is a privilege, if you abuse it you can certainly lose it." what does believing in the Lord and reading the Bible have to do with it?

Life is a privilege, granted by God, if you abuse said privilege you can be killed for the offense. I don't find that terribly problematic.
