Not to an American. We take the concept of "taxation without representation" rather seriously.
These people are complaining they were excluded from the process of enacting this law, and only afforded a vote of yes or no after it was already written. They weren't consulted, and
they are the ones affected by a law passed by people who aren't affected by it.Two of the many bullet points of the Declaration of Independence:

Except that they are fully represented in the legislature. They just happen to be in the minority and don't like it. It's amazing that this (allegedly) adult version of "I'm going to take my marbles and go home" elicits anything more than the laugh it deserves.
