Rightist Anti-Populist Nationalist.

I'd like the nationalization of key resources (energy mostly) and the creation of state-support oligopolies. I'd like to increase the power of the federal government and eliminate the 17th Amendment. Universal conscription should be implemented through ages 18-20, and the United States ought to eventually expand to include Canada, Mexico, Greenland, Iceland, Cuba, and exercise defacto control over Central America.

I can't really wrap up my ideology neatly in a broad term or two. Partly because I don't have many strong ideological leans towards much of anything, and partly because working in D.C. has made me prefer pragmatism over ideological rigidness.

It's pretty damn easy to bridge the gaps between the two main ideologies when people are serious about doing it.

Only de facto control? You don't want to completely annex them?

People who confuse racism and nationalism just do not understand the problem properly.

Countries do indeed have ethnic (national) identities and they can change over time, they can be conquered or reformed, and in the Western worlds through an almost unfettered immigration. I like diversity and support anyone in preserving their own unique ethnic lineage, language, and culture but a line also the respect needs to be mutual in principle. Monoculture, wrongly termed multiculturalism, does not respect differences in diversity and encourages a complete integration while demeaning the .

The term ethnic will prevent groups who wish to assimilate from becoming part of the national identity. If you are productive you should be able to become part of the national identity regardless of your previous ethnic group.

Integration is okay but a peoples will to preserve their ethnicity and culture can also be respected without malice, it is not a pendulum like some believe. America had a good form in the 1950's, immigration was better handled, assimilation was also valued more so. When cultures stop respecting their own and let intruders dictate how they live, that is where problems begin.

I feel Eurabia will be an interesting view into the failures of 'multiculturalism' and unreasonable immigration policies. Europe was a beautiful example of many ethnic groups inhabiting their own and fostering unique interesting cultures of human achievement. The boundaries of European culture are not being respected, a few countries are currently being flooded willingly, and I cannot say for certain that it will be too pretty in the coming decades.

You can preserve your ethnic identity and culture but that has to remain secondary to the national identity. Any conflicting interests need to default to what the national identity requires. When people use their ethnic identity as a primary identifier and motivators, it weakens the bond between one another. Individuality can be prized for its strengths but the collective is the binding that holds everything together, and it requires a national identity independent and superior to the ethnic one.

I have a similar thought, except my version goes that Canada ought to lead the effort to reunify the Commonwealth, as well as conquer/annex all her majesties former land, including the US. Also Hawaii, they still have the Union Jack on the flag clearly they want to leave the US and are too polite to ask.
