but i do object on other grounds, speck and traditional porchetta are better preparations for pork-belly
and cured (eg prosciutto and serrano), naturally smoked (eg black-forest ham or ardenne ham) or slightly smoked cooked ham (eg gipsy ham) is way better
but if you only know cooked ham eg honey-glazed ham or virginia ham, i can understand your sentiments
