Only morons think the right is explicitly for maintaining a militia. go read some contemporaneous literature to see exactly what the founders intended.
Just wondering, why do you think the founders bothered to include all the words which precede "the right of the people to bear arms shall not be infringed"?
I am genuinely curious because I don't understand why the words would be written if the fathers did not wish to emphasize the regulation of the militia.
I'm somewhat of a Neanderthal so if you could please take the time to enlighten me on this matter I would be grateful.
