Not sure about the origin of dish instead of diss but we always used dish as slang for give or distribute .

UseNet... is that the thing people used to use to pay their bills and/or bank statements and stuff? It was based on some weirdass phone dialing system, which I think was the precursor to standard dial-up.

UseNet was the system used by the original puter geeks and scientists to share information over what would eventually become the internet . It was limited to only what you could generate from a standard keyboard , when an emoticon was : ) and not this :lol: .

It eventually evolved into NewsGroups and became available to anyone who could access a dial up modem .

The beauty of it was no moderation whatsoever .

Okay, thanks! I guess it evolved from meaning of giving out insults, or dishing out insults, which later may have turned to "dishing."

Son , you have me confused with someone who gives a shit about your Country and your perceived problems . They're attacking because they don't recognize Ataturk as the father of their nation. To them, he is an oppressor, much like how people tear down statues of dictators all the time.

As for their terrorist acts, one man's terrorist is another man's rebel, and again, what do you need that region for? I'm actually curious to see if people can come up with an answer besides nationalistic fervor. Does it have any economic benefit? :huh:
