amazing how that guy desperately tries to make this thread about who has the most elite universities when my original argument was "if you [...] factor in what life actually costs, including such things as having healthcare, sending your kids to college... i know where i would want to live.".
funny how he completely ignored the healthcare part and the part about affordability of a high quality education. i bet if i stated that america has a huge problem with obesity, he'd try to make this thread about which country has the best fast food...
This thread is about many things, actually.
I don't know about you, but I can afford a lot of healthcare and college with the extra 43% PPP. Me personally, I spend about $300 per month providing excellent insurance for my family. My employer covers the rest (about $1100/mo), as per our employment agreement. Healthcare benefits are common remuneration in the US. And about that education... more Americans attain tertiary education than any country in Europe except Russia.

My family has pretty good healthcare.
Europe is so equal that you can have something like a standard of living measurement.
You can't in the US. There is no comparing when I equality is this bad. You guys don't have ghettos like we do.
No ghettos in Paris or Brussels, eh?
