You think that a lie is ever going to make people think? It's just going to alienate people who have even the tiniest bit of critical thinking ability, because they'll be smart enough to look it up and realize that you're a liar and your words can't be trusted.
What have I lied about? Huh, hypocrite? Did I misquote scripture? I suggest that you STICK TO THE TOPIC and stop trying to play games with words, ok "christian-in-disguise"?
Now answer my topic: Why is the bible full of BS stuff, such as the zillions of examples I posted here alone?
WAIT! Let me refresh your memory:
#1 After Ehud came Shamgar son of Anath, who killed six hundred Philistines with an ox-goad, and saved (delivered) Israel. / Judges 3:31
A young Jewish lad killed 600 men with a stick used to prod cattle? Does this make sense?
#2 Finding a fresh jawbone of a donkey, he grabbed it and struck down a thousand men. 16 Then Samson said, “With a donkey’s jawbone I have made donkeys of them. With a donkey’s jawbone I have killed a thousand men.” / Judges 15:15-16
Do I really need to comment on this one?
#3 So he went out and caught three hundred foxes and tied them tail to tail in pairs. He then fastened a torch to every pair of tails, 5 lit the torches and let the foxes loose in the standing grain of the Philistines. He burned up the shocks and standing grain, together with the vineyards and olive groves. / Judges 15:4-5
Now, first of all, how did he manage to catch 300 foxes in the open? Second, where did he find 300 foxes in Palestine? How did the foxes co-operate? To say they did is highly absurd!
11: Weird verses:
Before the reader begins with this section, I would like to apologize for the following verses, but remember that I am only quoting the Bible itself! I urge all those who have doubts of the following content to check up these verses on their own, and make up their own minds if such absurdities should truly be in the (alleged) Book of God.
A: Rape.
In the Bible, we find detailed stories of how to rape even your own sister if you want to!
So Amnon lay down and pretended to be ill. When the king came to see him, Amnon said to him, “I would like my sister Tamar to come and make some special bread in my sight, so I may eat from her hand.” 7 David sent word to Tamar at the palace: “Go to the house of your brother Amnon and prepare some food for him.” 8 So Tamar went to the house of her brother Amnon, who was lying down. She took some dough, kneaded it, made the bread in his sight and baked it. 9 Then she took the pan and served him the bread, but he refused to eat. “Send everyone out of here,” Amnon said. So everyone left him. 10 Then Amnon said to Tamar, “Bring the food here into my bedroom so I may eat from your hand.” And Tamar took the bread she had prepared and brought it to her brother Amnon in his bedroom. 11 But when she took it to him to eat, he grabbed her and said, “Come to bed with me, my sister.” 12 “Don’t, my brother!” she said to him. “Don’t force me. Such a thing should not be done in Israel! Don’t do this wicked thing. 13 What about me? Where could I get rid of my disgrace? And what about you? You would be like one of the wicked fools in Israel. Please speak to the king; he will not keep me from being married to you.” 14 But he refused to listen to her, and since he was stronger than she, he raped her. / 2 Samuel 13:6-14
B: Gang Rape.
Absalom said to Ahithophel, “Give us your advice. What should we do?” 21 Ahithophel answered, “Lie with your father’s concubines whom he left to take care of the palace. Then all Israel will hear that you have made yourself a stench in your father’s nostrils, and the hands of everyone with you will be strengthened.” 22 So they pitched a tent for Absalom on the roof, and he lay with his father’s concubines in the sight of all Israel. / 2 Samuel 16:20-22
Now, if you ask me, that is even better than going to a porn movie...
Not a single word of redemption.
One day Samson went to Gaza, where he saw a prostitute, and went into her / Judges 16:1
What did God do to punish him? What is the moral standard/example being given here? Absolutely nothing! And this is the reason why today we have light and hard porn all over the non-Muslim countries, in films, series, etc.
C: Mockery of God Almighty.
The Bible depicts God almighty as a barber!
#1: In that day the Lord will use a razor hired from beyond the River—the king of Assyria—to shave your head and the hair of your legs, and to take off your beards also. / Isaiah 7:20
The Bible depicts God as an angry dragon!
#2: Smoke rose from his nostrils; consuming fire came from his mouth, burning coals blazed out of it / 2 Samuel 22:9
The Bible says that God rides on little Angel girls!
#3: He rode on a cherub, and flew; he soared on the wings of the wind / 2 Samuel 22:11
Palestinians used as foreskin fodder!
“David and his men went out and killed two hundred Philistines. He brought their foreskins and presented the full number to the king so that he might become the king’s son-in-law. Then Saul gave him his daughter Michal in marriage.” / 1 Samuel 18:27
D: God asking for 32 virgins for Himself.
(Moses) “Have you allowed all the women to live?” he asked them. 16 They were the ones who followed Balaam’s advice and were the means of turning the Israelites away from the LORD in what happened at Peor, so that a plague struck the LORD’s people. 17 Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, 18 but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man.”... 35 “and 32,000 women who had never slept with a man.” 40 “16,000 people, of which the tribute for the LORD was 32.” / Numbers 31:15-18,35,40
E: Did anyone see God, or not?
(God) “You cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.” 21 Then the LORD said, “There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock. 22 When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. 23 Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen.” / Exodus 33:20-23
vs.
#1: The LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend. / Exodus 33:11
#2: So Jacob called the place Peniel, saying, “It is because I saw God face to face, and yet my life was spared.” / Genesis 32:30
F) Is everything possible with God or not?
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.” / Mark 10:27
vs.
The LORD was with the men of Judah. They took possession of the hill country, but they were unable to drive the people from the plains, because they had iron chariots. / Judges 1:19
12: Paul says that all Scripture is given from God.
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” / 2 Timothy 3:16
In this test we conclude that all scripture (meaning the entire Bible) is the word of God. Thus, the Bible must be your doctrine (your teaching), your reproof (to express your criticism and censure), and your correction (in your lifetime dealings) for instruction and righteousness.
Now, I am asking, where does this test fit into the “Book of God” when it is filled with rape, racism, hate, incest, and pornography in general?
As mentioned earlier, Sampson goes to Gaza and goes into a harlot (Judges 16:1); this is supposed to be in the Book of God! Thus, under the test that 2 Timothy 3:16 gives to us,
where does it fit in? Is this the Biblical doctrine, that, when you go to some place and you see a harlot, you go into her? Is this the proper teaching of righteousness?
What about reproof? Was there any reproof given by God Almighty when this incident happened? Did God even threaten Sampson that He will put him in Hell for such a foul deed? Nothing of the sort!
I urge people to read the Bible with a critical eye and discover for themselves the things which are not supposed to be there, like the other example of Judah committing incest with his daughter-in-law by the road side (Genesis 38), and she becomes pregnant and gives birth to twins, Pharez and Tamar, whom the Bible testifies to be the great grand-fathers of Jesus Christ! Can you imagine that? The two children of incest are the great grand-fathers of Jesus!
13: Mockery of God's Intelligence.
1 Now the whole world had one language and a common speech. 2 As people moved eastward, they found a plain in Shinar and settled there. 3 They said to each other, “Come, let’s make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar. 4 Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the Heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves; otherwise we will be scattered over the face of the whole Earth.” 5 But the LORD came down to see the city and the tower the people were building. 6 The LORD said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. 7 Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.” 8 So the LORD scattered them from there over all the Earth, and they stopped building the city. 9 That is why it was called Babel – because there the LORD confused the language of the whole world. From there the LORD scattered them over the face of the whole Earth / Genesis 11:1-9
First, in this passage we clearly see that God confused the people to stop them from building their tower. Thus, God is the author of confusion. However, in 1 Cor 14:33, it says:
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all the congregations of the Lord’s people / 1 Cor 14:33
Thus, we already have a contradiction here, but this is not the only issue with this Biblical passage! The chapter tells us that a group of men decided to settle in a plain in an area called “Shinar”, and decided to make a tower that will reach Heaven, so that they would make a name for themselves. And here is the other interesting part...
The next verses say that God thinks that “nothing is impossible for man”, which is a clear insult to God Almighty, the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth, and everything in between. The reason is because it is depicting our Creator of not knowing what His own Creation's true capabilities, and worse, this “God” - as the Bible portrays Him – has to “go down”, meaning to leave Heaven, and go closer to see what man is doing, because He is not capable from seeing their actions from “up there”. When “God” discovers that nothing can stop man from reaching Heaven, He confuses them so that they wouldn't be able to finish their work. This is highly absurd for a good number of reasons. This story is supposed to have happened thousands of years ago, when man had very limited resources, like mud and stones. Today, in the 21st Century, man has zero chances of reaching Heaven, and that is with spaceships! Now, does it make sense to you that man could have reached Heaven back then? Plus there is also the question of how were these men supposed to have survived once they would have breached the Earth's atmosphere? It truly makes you wonder...
