far right youtubers: protect your borders from terrorists and extremists.
UK: randomly bans a bunch of people for non-mainstream but also non-extremist views because they question the political status quo.
another flaw in your analogy: those far-right youtubers wanted to come to the UK as tourists/to do business; and then leave in a couple of hours or days. they didnt come to stay, they didnt come to change the cultural and political landscape of the UK for decades, they didnt come to collect weflare checks, and there was virtually no risk of them executing physical violence while in the UK.
all the reasons typically given by far-right activists against muslim immigration clearly do not apply here, do generally not apply to themselves.
They're about as likely to receive welfare checks or commit crimes as migrants. If we're judging it by that barometer would you then support banning Tommy Robinson, a convicted fraudster and thug that has claimed more benefits than most migrants?
Agree that the analogy falls short on the extremist/non-extremist point, I was posting it more for tongue-in-cheek humour rather than a personal advocation of that opinion.
