From the article:
"Strobridge’s principal said the school held the exchange because he thinks playing with toy guns increases the chance of children using real ones when they grow up."

that's not demonising
neither in the fox story nor in the linked story was anything about there being statements like 'guns kill' or the like and even the spokeswoman of the 'Responsible Citizens of California' did not claim that they were demonising guns

Trying to prevent children from exercising their fundamental constitutional rights when they become adults is demonizing. He clearly thinks guns and gun owners are bad or else he wouldn't be trying to prevent children from becoming gun owners when they grow up.

No, because they don't have telescoping stocks or barrel shrouds.

Trying to prevent children from exercising their fundamental constitutional rights when they become adults is demonizing. He clearly thinks guns and lawful gun owners are bad or else he wouldn't be trying to prevent children from growing up and becoming lawful gun owners.

look his opinion is spelt out and however you twist and turn it, it is far from demonising
or do you use this word for any disagreement anyone has with anything?

are you demonising the school principal?

He's clearly demonizing firearms, why else would he do this? Think about it, if he thought firearms and responsible gun ownership were positive (or even neutral) attributes, then why would he try to prevent children from growing up to be gun owners?

"Guns are great tools and more citizens should exercise their right to bear arms, therefore I'm going to do everything in my power to prevent future generations from becoming gun owners! Long live the Second Amendment!"

I don't think that's what was going through the principal's head...

they live in the middle of a city and will likely never have any interest in showing the respect for guns that a capable owner should have.
