Why didn't Europeans eventually settle Africa and become the majority population, as they did in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United States? Could it be that the European colonizers didn't intend to permanently colonize and settle Africa, opting to just steal their resources instead?

Africa doesn't have much in the way of natural resources that other countries do
pretty much just a big shitty place
Most of Africa does not have the requirements to easily sustain large populations as do Canada, U.S., South America, etc. The Europeans still wanted their natural resources, however, so they just had the blacks do the work.
Europeans never intended to move large portions of their population down to Africa, as far as I know, due to the inhospitable environment. To my knowledge it was always intended as a draw of resources and nothing else.
