You can't do that...many people take advantage of the division of labor that our society allows us through specialization.
Most of the world's people grant their shaman the responsibility of doing their moral reasoning for them without knowing that doing this is very immoral without carefully considering whether or not that person is an appropriate arbitrator of morality.
Anybody can point to a book and say "it is in there" but that is completely unhelpful. The Iman in this case is the specialist that others take advantage of due to division of labor in regards to moral reasoning. He is representative of Islam and how it is applied.

You can't just say "the church got it wrong the original source is different". The church is all the religion consists of.
