This guy is now receiving masses of hate mail from overweight people who stand by the woman's words that this man is bullying her.

Her own words: "And lucky for me – I have a very thick skin…literally as that e-mail pointed out – and otherwise. And that man’s words mean nothing to me. But what really angers me about this…there are children who don’t know better. Who get emails as critical as the one I received or in many cases even worse – each and every day.

If you were at home talking about the fat news lady – guess what? Your children are probably going to go to school and call someone fat. The fuck? So we can't ever tell fat people they're fat, because it's bullying? The doctor that tells a mother her child is morbidly obese is a bully, and should be reprimanded by society for hurting her feelings! Seriously, how backwards is this. Bullying is not just saying critical things to people.

That letter is innocent in every possible way, not to mention good advice.

The problem is the obese woman trying to stay ignorant of her state.

I wasn't impressed.

...the lady has already garnered national support and the guy has finally half apologized . Picking on women who have given birth to 3 kids in quick succession because of their weight is despicable .

...the ignorance is only yours . She knows she is overweight and has been struggling with it following every birth . Of course if she was in a burka no one would know , amirite ?

To be of any value whatsoever, the letter should have been directed at the station that chose to employ the fat woman. They are the ones that control what goes on the TV.

That being said, it is generally healthy for society to make people feel bad about negative traits that are within their control. Unhealthy behaviors are not strongly enough discouraged in America.
