Think about it : what do I really need to live ?
My answer is very simple : I need to drink, eat, pee, poo and sleep.
I do not need anything else to survive.
So in the current society I need enough money for food, and get a roof to sleep comfortably. I do not really need more money than that.
I could add an internet connection and a mobile phone to communicate and share with people, but I do not really need that for my own survival.
I have enough money for that at the moment, so I obviously do not need to work more/harder to get money (I will actually start to work less soon).
So I do not need anything else than food and a roof, it is pretty obvious I do not need a religion to survive.
Now think about religions, and how it could be different if you were borned in a different place.
You probably think your religion is better than others ? That would be not fair for people borned in other country.
A funny thing is parents often choose religion for their childrens.
I was baptize at a very young age, when I was obviously unable to decide on my own. That does not make sense (and I do not go to church anymore).
That was my parents not rational choice (I do not blam them at all, they have been educated this way)... I will rather introduce all religions to my childrens and let them decide when they are old enough.
The fact is all holy books are full of truth, but they are also interpreted in a bad way : the priest and pastors are spreading mythical lies like physicaly resurrection for exemple.
They focus on false interpretation of Jesus's life (science and experience can prove it), instead of his message of truth and life.
It was necessary in the past to evolve, but NOW we have all the tools and knowledge to wake up.
Science and philosophy evolved enough, and we have internet to communicate and fight against the lies that are spreading more than ever in this society.

Something else we do not need (most of the time) is thinking, the wise Bob Marley explained it too.
You only need to breathe to keep your body alive, thoughs are just keeping us away from the truth, the present eternal moment, reality.

The fact is you are more than your mind : you are the spirit listening to it.
It is important to understand this, and easy to check :
Just ask yourself, what is it that is hearing the thoughts you are thinking right now?
It is your spiritual-self, the same thing that receives all life (through all senses including mind).
I can not know exactly what Jesus said : he spoke a language I do not speak, and he is now dead anyway so I can not ask him, but I can use my rational mind to understand this quote :
"In me, all things become one, for everything that is not of me is illusion and will pass away. Only Light abides, for Light is Truth, and Truth has no end. I tell you the truth when I say that I am the Way, the Truth, the Light, and the Life. Walk in me, and you will abide forever, for you will be even as I AM."
It clearly means everything from the mind is illusion and will pass away (if you do not agree with this, think about the fact that your brain could stop work tomorrow, and you would loose your mind and the thoughts/memories going with it).
It also means the spirit abides and has no end (so you would keep living without your current mind even if your body dies tomorrow).
And it finally says that the truth and life are the way to spiritual life.
As I said earlier we are now ready to wake up spiritually, to live like Jesus. I am not talking about doing physical miracles, that are obviously not possible, as science and experience can prove... but live the miracle of life in the present moment that Jesus lived.
Life itself is the miracle.
We just have to face the truth/reality : Acknowledge the fact we have been raised in a society full of lie, but that we can overcome the lies with desire to seek the truth and life. We have to accept ourselves for the perfect spirit we are, to accept the eternal present moment whatever it gives to us.
Truth can be scary first, because all we known untill now was actually lies... but truth is actually very beautiful, and the truth helps you overcome your fears. Truth is the only thing that can set you free, and it can unite mankind and transform this hateful world into a peaceful place if it reachs enough people.
Some might think I am crazy, and I want to impose you my truth... it is not my truth, it is the universal truth of life.
We all have a different perception of life, a different body... but we are still equal human brothers and sisters : we have the same immortal spirits and our mortal bodies are working the same way, even though they are not exactly the same.
We evolved enough physically, to now evolve spiritually, overcome the animal realm, emancipate ourselves from mental slavery.
I could develop more, and I will probably do it later.
