Hopefully China will ban knives, or at least heavily regulate them and require registration and extensive background checks in the future.

Police in Xinbin county, which oversees the town, declined to comment. Violent crimes are growing more common in China. There was a string of knife attacks against schoolchildren across the country in early 2010 that killed nearly 20 and wounded more than 50.

They were lucky. Probably would've been 50 dead if the guy had access to guns the way mentally deranged Americans do.

Considering how easy it is to construct makeshift knives (even prisoners manage to do it with limited access to resources) such regulations on trade would be ineffective.

Right. Because the guy who walked into a movie theater with a semi-automatic rifle with a 100 round drum, a shotgun, and a pistol killed over 50 people. With all that ammo, he only killed twelve people and injured less than 100.

These silly liberals probably think that people have access to Gatling guns or something LOL.
