Really like the concept of the first one. Might change Ra a bit (the right cartoonish depiction, with a great sun backdrop - but the eye and character are a bit off to me) but the people/kids are very close to what I was thinking of the 'friends' aspect).

I went for an oversimplified RA to keep in line with the simplicity of the overall logo and keep with the cartoon direction given.
how detailed do you want RA to be?
Which of these is headed more in the direction you are thinking of?
