I started with the release of poe (played before just 4 times through normal)
Ofc I started at nemesis cause softcore is for ppl with low easiestkills and it's a chance to test many builds and try him self in theory crafting to get the maximum out of his char

But this dosnt matter I got some questions:

- energyshield is a cool feature, but I don't get how to use it right, cause I don't know:
1) does it profit from armor? Or it tooks unreduced the full dmg witch would be rly useless cause life seems to me easyer to stack then energyshield. So it's more usefull to stack life on every char and energy shield is just a bonus? But at least it's a bad bonus cause evasion rate is much more usefull.
2) there's no way to reg the shield? The only way is to run out of the fight to get some seconds no dmg and reg the shield again? I found a passiv near the shadow start that converts life leech in energy shield leech, but this sucks hart if I'm right that energy shield don't profit by armor. Or is there a fixed dmg reduce amount on it?

So life armor is the the way to get low dmg income ?


The next question is about the use of shields
- the block chance on a shield counts on every hit u get or on every hit u wasn't possible to evade:
30% evade
30% block

Means I have a chance to evade a hit with 30% and if I wasn't able to I got an extra chance to block this hit?
Or is it possible that it stacks both at once? So if I get a hit it blocks and evade at once witch would reduce the block / evade chance

And how does the shield work? It gives permanently the evade / armor bonus and blocks 100% of the dmg income if it blocks

Or does it block with his armor / evade as extra defence ? This would make the shields rly bad but I'm not sure about it

Got some more question but this are the two main question to decide with class I'll try next time

Warum bist du hier ?

The order is:

Check for evasion
Check for Block
Apply DR
Subtract dmg from ES or Health

Chaos dmg will bypass ES, but for all other dmgtypes ES and Health would be interchangeable in terms of EHP.

Also since EV is checked before Block it would be like this:

50% EV, 50% Block:

Half the hits are Evaded (no random factor)
Half of the non-evaded hits are blocked(purely random)
So over time you would evade 50% and Block 25% of the attacks.

You shouldn't be playing hardcore till you know the basics of the game. You'll just be wasting your time.
Energy shield shouldn't be dependant on as a shield unless your ci. Only thing it is, is another bar of life. Stacking that as a non ci build would be a waste from lack of armor and not being able to leech both life and es same time.
