You will have less survivability with the dual totem char but less damage effectiveness with the marauder.
That's the only trade off. If you are always running with a group, the totem would probably be the better choice. Since normal - low merciless, dual totem is very lack luster (not to mention your totems just get 1 shot by any rare / magic mobs)
