typo is illegible, but a negative impact on the tag

poorly composed, render placement is too far to the right without anything to justify that sort of placement. additionally, the left side is pretty place, and there's nearly no depth or difference in contrast with the tag. colors or bland, and the blending is poorly done.

however, the lighting isn't terrible.

keep doing tuts, and AVOID TYPOGRAPHY for now.

That's just a watermark, even though it's probably not needed at this point in my experience. I see what you mean about the depth now that I'm looking at it, the background looks flat. Any suggestions to improve it and make it not look like just a flat wall?

dodging/burning are great tools for creating depth in the background, but the best way to remedy it would be to include elements in the middleground and foreground, as well as the background.

if you have elements on all three fields, the depth sort of solves itself, especially if those elements move from one field to another - if you understand?

e: and yeah, don't bother watermarking your shit.

I got ya. I could do some of those squares, and create depth with those. While I'm at it I'll move the render. Do you think middle of it would actually work with this?

i didn't want to add or remove anything, but here's a better version with a few minor changes:

i burned some of the darker spots and shit in the background, and then i dodged a few places around the lighting, as well as a slight blur on some of the further things. after that, i saturated some of the blues, picked them, and then did some softbrushing on linear dodge and low opacity to add some color to the lighting.

then i just applied, sharpened, and lowered the opacity a bit, and erased everything except the focal.

Definitely :)

Here's what I was talking about doing to bring out more depth. Obviously it'll be a little more clean and not so apparent.
