he said it was animated text on a washed out photograph, nowhere did he imply that all you had done to it was put typo onto it

holy shit you guys...



-the first thing i noticed was the part in the middleish to the left that looks like a dick. not a good idea
-also on the left it is pretty empty, try to add something to make it feel like its got some use
-in the psd there is nothing going over her so shes much cleaner and more hq than yours is
-the colors of yours arent as strong as the tutorial, notice the dark black and white and bright red and how they contrast enough that theres a cool feel to it
+your render is pretty good though, just remember to clean it up

lmao i flipped my render horizontally too add more and the arms cutoff+flipped made it look like that, didnt even notice.
I noticed that part and i wasnt sure how to make her stand out like that without ruining the blending on her.
Ill try and fix the colors and clean up some stuff later today.

overcontrasted and cluttered, there are too many random fx going all over the place for any sort of composition to be present.

after compositional shapes, the best and most frequent way to compose and frame a focal is with contrast. since your tag is covered in dark and lights ALL OVER the place, there is no definite sharp difference in contrast to frame your focal, so the eye wanders. your colors are also very dull and don't mix well. red/oranges framed by whites/blues/purples CAN work, however, it's executed poorly here. take a look at a color wheel, and try to work with complimentary colors for now, almost exclusively, before you advance beyond that.

alright will do. im still not sure how to do the contrasting then, since the 1st one was way dull and focal was unclear i duplicated render twice 1 on overlay 1 on lighten to make her stand out more, then for effects i added another splash to the left, then dodged/burned all around to brighten up.

Only have this to offer at the moment, haven't had a lot of time been busy irl. However I did read someone suggesting a color wheel, this one is my favorite...I use it everytime I make a signature. Enjoy!
