Similar to my Bow Topic's ( http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=68376302&f=103 and http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=69162414&f=103 ), I want a topic of the top Amulets - all builds - for LvL 49. I have a fair idea of whats currently out there, but new items are always spawning, so I will post a few screens and hopefully someone will be able to fill in the blanks or post amulets that beat some of these. Its very hard to get a good lvl 49 amulet, as alot of the desired mods you can already get at lvl 30 (i'll try to make a 30 topic later as well) and some mods are not quite as good at 49 as people may think. i.e. FRW is NOT a desired mod on an amulet.

Without further ado (and in no order), here are what I deem to be the current best LvL 49 amulets. I will try to add a brief description for each amulet.



1. Skull Eye Libby Amulet. This was originally on Perz's Libby. He gave account access to one of his friends, who sold it to me, Perz saw it on my account, asked about it, and I then sold it back to his friend for the price I paid, and he gave it back to Perz. There was a bit of drama at the time, but it all worked out. Expired now I think. When not counting Anya, Libby's want Fire Res from an item since Spirit Shield gives low Fire Res and in TvT Shaft rather then Viper is the preferred armor.
2. Order Noose Blizz Amulet. Donated to me by Maximus_Le_Roi when he quit. Addesmile used this amulet in the recent 49 tournament when he was on my Share-Blizz. Blizz Sorc's need alot of mana and I believe its the 2nd best Blizz Amulet out there. I don't have a screen of the no.1. hopefully the owner will post it ^___^'. A note on sorc amulets - Blizz must have very high mana due to build, fire can have anything good, and a crafted light is ideal.
3. Raven Noose Fire Amulet. Alongcomesmary's Fire amulet. AFAIK this was regarded as the best amulet at the time, and there are few amulets that beat it. There were 3-4 amulets that spawned after it, however most of those have now expired. Sorc amulets can have str and/or dex, its all good since there is no amulet swapping required in the build.
4. Stone Mark Shape Amulet. Shape Druids are not very strong 1v1 @ 49. But Rabies druids are great in TvT. I lost who had this amulet, its the best rare shape amulet I ever saw I have to admit. All Shape amulets need to be compared to a 3/100 amulet (and a 3/100 comes very close to this one since you don't really need the mana).
5. Wraith Gorget Ele amulet. Mine. Elemental druids have a very hard time @ 49 without the community considering allowing teleport charges. while most people look at teleport charges from a staff (since thats the only location for charges @ lvl 30) teleport charges can still spawn on amulets and circlets/coronets for lvl 49. This is an OK one, but the build itself (ele dudu) is fundamentally broken. No one plays them with teleport, too much hassle.
6. Blood Necklace Bowa (or Java) amulet. Another of Perz's items - this one he sold me about 4 years ago and I used on fawn for quite some time. Amazons don't want frw, str or dex on amulets (well, dex i suppose is ok), and there should be a few amulets out there now that beat this. Hopefully someone will post. Ideal mods would be something like: 2psm 15 dex 60 life 90 mana 10 repl 20 all res
7. Bitter Heart Trap Amulet. Also mine, This is an average amulet with a bonus of teleport charges (BM). nice for pubs, and the base stats without teleport make it very good in their own right. Would ideally have Str/Dex here. Don't want FRW. most MLD trappers will use a combination of 3/100 and a rare, however very few rares drop that beat 30 amulets.
8. Death Talisman PNB Amulet. I got this a couple of years ago from Classic. The Repl makes it very strong, but spawning 1 Necro in classic makes it not quite so good as if it had spawned 2pnb in lod.
9. Order Talisman Shaper Amulet. I can't remember where I picked this one up. Some over the last 2 years I think. Moonhammer had something very similar to this. I have a similar one with cold resistance, but its not quite as good. In all honestly no FRW amulets at MLD are ideal since almost everyone should aim for FRW from charms rather then items. The more experienced PvP'ers will know what I am talking about.
10. Doom Mark Light Amulet. I'm not sure if this is the amulet on East NL that Mevonis donated to me, or if its another one. I pushed it in the right direction, for someone over there to use it. Boss mods, but due to Lightning fcr breakpoints a crafted one is the ideal. Speaking of which 2Light 20fcr + adds requires a specific level of crafter making these amulets virtually non existent on the trading forums. (If you craft at a high level these amulets spawn as lvl 52+).
11. Bitter Necklace Light Amulet. - An example of a 20fcr Light Amulet. Hopefully we will see better in this topic at some point!
12. Skull Emblem Kicker/Ghost amulet. This spawned last ladder, Phazz sold it to me I think (thx!). Kickers/MB Sins at 49 have too many anti-characters such as Barbarians and Paladins, but the amulet deserves a place here based on the insane mod's it has. Only missing repl to make it totally insane.
13. Corruption Torc PNB Amulet. Also mine. Very few good PNB amulets spawn unfortunately. This one is better then most, but missing the all important Repl mod.


Honourable Mention:



Europe was off the ball in terms of holding on to some of the Pre-Lod amulets. AFAIK there are no excellent pre-lod amulets on europe. For reference purposes however I attach a picture of Fiend Sunder on East. There was a 20FCR one as well on east nl, if anyone has a picture of it, please post, thanks.

There are alot of extremely good lvl 30 amulets that people use for their MLD characters, but I'll make a seperate topic for those amulets. In the meantime, feel free to oggle these. While some (or most!) are clearly not 10/10, its very hard to beat whats shown here. if you have anything better, please feel free to post it

for reference purposes, MLD builds include: Libby, Charger, VT, Smiter. Bowa, Java, Plague, Fire, Cold, Light Sorc's, Rabies, Fury, Ele Dudu's, Trappers, Kickers, Ghosts, PNB Nec's & WW Barb. Nec and Barb only have a single viable Skill Build.
