First off let me start by saying that this topic is about the best HARDCORE duelers of MODERN times. That means, the last couple of years (since late 2011). Please dont come with "back in 2005 xxx was best bla bla bla" because thats not the topic. Also the "game is dead, the best duelers all retired" bullshit because you cant compare the duelers back in 2003-2004-2005 (I used to duel during those years too) to the modern duelers, because the "modern day" duelers are much better than the "old days" duelers.

The reason is that back then (2003-2005), most duelers, including the best of them, werent geared as perfectly as today, because back then the only way to trade was using the trading channel and the runes (IST etc) were the currency and sometimes people exchanged items for items or such. Other people did buy items on sites, but you have to remember back then an item such as "botd warpike" (for example) was worth like $20 or $40 and such, and nobody was going to spend $500 gearing up a hardcore dueler and risk losing it all dying in the first or second or third duel, let alone trying to buy gg charms, they would had to spend over $1k for that back then. I know this because I used to play in those days and knew the prices on sites. So most of the trading was done in the channel with runes as currency or exchanging items, in other words, it wasnt as effective, fast and comfortable as trading in d2jsp where you sell/buy anything on a forum and its much better and easier to trade.

So I knew what high lvl duelers used back then and what they were equipped with and I know what modern days high lvl duelers use now, and right now the best of the best characters (like Bavarian-Hulk for example) use perfect or almost perfect gear/charms etc, and I know back then it would be impossible or almost impossible to equip a character with so many 3/20/20s, other gg charms and perfect items, etc (unless you spent $1k+ buying perfect dueling charms items, prebuffing gear/charms etc, but nobody that I knew of in HC East back then did that in fear of risking losing big amounts of $$$ dueling in hardcore. They did buy a few items and such but not a full perfect/almost perfect equipped char). I could go into more detail but it would make the post longer and tedious, but I know from my good experience in both eras, that this was the case. Im not taking away their (best old days duelers) well deserved credit and success, but those were other times and right now, today's modern duelers are much better equipped than back then.

Therefore take the "game is dead, the best duelers all retired" line and save it to yourselves, because the game is not dead and modern day duelers are better equipped. Please, dont think im saying old duelers were not good, they were, but we cant really compare both times, and I know this because I belong to both times since I played a lot both times (from 2003 to December 2005 and since late 2011 to now).

Considering the previous explanation and after so much PvP experience in both HC East and HC Europe (also in HC West, but not many people play there, so thats half-dead, no offense to HC West players), I am sure these are the best duelers in general (not talking about characters, just duelers/users) are the following and dont feel offended or mad at me if I dont mention you here, I know there are plenty of you out there who are good and would easily be top 20 top 10, but im just gonna post the best on each category:

I only posted the best on each category, I could make it longer and make it top 5 or top 10, but then the positions would be speculation, but its safe to say that those are the best on their categories, and I didnt put myself in the list because although im a very successful dueler, I dont consider myself the best in general, although I do think my best dueling char (Bavarian-Hulk) is the currently best "Legit Melee Dueling" character on HC East, but thats not the topic here. Also, I know Nolan doesnt like me, but I had to be fair in this "Hall of Fame" topic, and I had plenty experience PvPing during the mentioned years and im pretty much accurated with this. I didnt do Hacked duel, but I was a witness and hang around in many hacked duels and know the hacking and legit dueling communities well enough to have a fair honest opinion for this list.

TL;DR version:
To those who come with "tl;dr" BS, go the f... away, I had to write all that to establish the clear reasons why modern day duelers are better and why those duelers mentioned are the best in this "Hall of Fame" topic, if you dont like to read too much, then read the list only, but save the "tl;dr" comment, its not my fault you didnt learn how to read in kindergarden or elementary school.

So basically you're missing 2006-2011, i.e. when the hc community was active and items were easily accessible.

This "Hall of Fame" is only from late 2011 to foward.

Also I was also active in the very first months of 2006 and by that year d2jsp wasnt very well known, not much as later on.
