A level 30 fissure druid is not one of the strongest LLDers, but it's a fairly uncommon character that can hold it's own against many builds. A fissure druid's battles usually last a long time, especially with the rep life build that I use. If you like these long tacticful rep wars, then this is a great character to build. While some characters will beat a fissure druid every time, he is one of the most effective builds for dueling against hammerdins and necros, which are both abundant LLD builds. I chose to build my druid to maxize rep life and frw, while neglecting block and sacrificing some life as well. IMO, this is the best way to build a fissure druid.
Stats:
19 Fissure
20 Firestorm
1 Molten Boulder
1 Oak Sage
The skill setup is pretty straightforward.
Gear:
Helm: There are a lot of options here. I think the best helm to look for would be:
2elemental/3fissure/2sockets (2x PSkull) with other mods if possible. However, a pelt like this is very hard to find, so you may want to settle for sometrhing else.
My druid uses this circlet since I haven't found the perfect pelt yet: 2elemental/30frw/10rep/15light res (socketed with a PSkull for 15 rep)
Another cheap and usefull option is a PCrown (PSkull)
And the last option is a plain +3 fissure pelt (3x PSkull) However I would prefer a PCrown over this pelt unless it also came with the +Armageddon staffmod.
Amulet: +2 elemental amulet with life and rep. My amulet is 1Druid/10rep/45life/67mana/8res all. I wish it were 2 elemental instead, but at least it gives me +1 to my Oak Sage.
Another good option is a magic +2elemental/15rep amulet.
Armor: Spirit Shroud (PSkull) This is the perfect armor for a fissure druid. +1 skill, CBF, MDR, and rep life. Hitting high res won't be a problem, so there's no reason to use VMagi.
Weapon: Spirit sword. There's really no other option here. Try to get one with perfect MDR.
Shield: Sigon's socketed with a 15 res all/-15 req jewel. An even better jewel would be 10res all/40cold/-req
Belt: FHR/Life/Rep with other mods if possible. My druid's belt is 24fhr/55life/5rep/25cold res.
Rings: Sojs
Gloves: Magefists
Boots: Crafted blood boots with 10frw/10fhr and high rep are your best choice. My boots are 10frw/10fhr/9rep/19life. Other good mods to look for are resistances and slower stamina drain.
Another option is a pair of 30frw/10fhr/dex/res boots.
Sanders won't help you much since you have no need for the stats or AR. The 40 frw is decent but I much prefer blood boots.
On Switch: 15 rep scepter, and an artisans shield of regeneration. I socketed the shield with 3x Sol rune since I couldn't think of anything better to go in there. When you need to rep, this switch will give you another 2 life/second.
Charms:
16x 5frw scs with res or stamina
2x 5fhr scs with res or stamina (you hit the 99 fhr breakpoint exactly)
22x 15 life scs with res or stamina
With this setup my fissure druid has:
1288-1346 Fissure damage
1384-1548 Firestorm damage
1430 Life
120 FRW
54 Rep life (74 on switch)
75 Res all with an extra 80 stacked light and cold res.
While this build only has 5% block, this won't hinder you in many duels. Chargers and Bowzons will be impossible to beat, but they would also be impossible with max block. The same goes for a good WW barb (although you can beat the crappy ones pretty easily). Remember, max block is only a 25% chance to block while running, and you will be running for nearly all of the duel.
