How to login to Ladder Slasher? Version 1.03

As some people might still have problems, here is a small guide with pictures to help new players getting into Ladder Slasher.
  • Visit the Ladder Slasher Site

    You can find this link here in the d2jsp forums anytime in the top right corner:





    You have now entered the Ladder Slasher Portal.
    • 1. Choose the resolution of the ladder slasher window here, you can also play full screen.
      A click opens ladder slasher in a new window
    • 2. You can find beginner information to get you started in the help and guide section on the left.
      Just click through the different menus you like to get more information on.
    • 3. You can find information about the current ladder slasher version and updates in the message boxes at the bottom.
    • 4. You can find the number of ladder slasher players currently online in this line.


    After clicking of the buttons next to "Play ladder slasher", you are at the entry screen of the game:
  • Log in with your ordinary d2jsp account, password and gold password
  • By clicking on the question mark symbol at the top right, you are directed to the ladder slasher forums.




    Troubleshooting:
    • If the password is not correct and you get disconnected at once:
    • check if the caps lock key or any special letters are used, this will not work.
    • check, if you got the current version of Ladder Slasher. You see the version in the bottom right.
    • check/update your flash player
    • if there are still problems, this might be related to your ports

    • If you do not have the current version, reload the site (F5), if this does not work, close the browser and open it again or clear your cache (CTRL + F5)

      Detailed steps to clear your cache:
        Clearing Browser Cache on Windows

            Microsoft® Internet Explorer 4.0
            1. Open Internet Explorer.
            2. Click Tools in the upper toolbar.
            3. Click Internet Options to open Internet Properties.
            4. Click the General tab
            5. Click Delete Files under "Temporary Internet Files".
            6. Check Delete all offline content.
            7. Click OK on the Delete Files dialog box.
            8. Click Apply and then OK.

            or

            1. Click Start, select Settings and Control Panel.
            2. Double-click Internet Options to open Internet Properties.
            3. Click the General tab
            4. Click Delete Files.
            NOTE: Do not select Delete Cookies. Delete Cookies removes all the cookies stored on the computer.
            5. Click OK on the Delete Files dialog box.
            6. Click OK.
            Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0

            1. Open Internet Explorer.
            2. Click Tools in the upper toolbar.
            3. Click Internet Options to open Internet Properties.
            4. Click the General tab

            8. Click Close and then OK.

            or

            1. Click Start, select Settings and Control Panel.
            2. Double-click Internet Options to open Internet Properties.
            3. Click Delete under "Browsing History".
            4. Click Delete Files under "Temporary Internet Files".
            5. Click Yes on the Delete Files dialog box.
            6. Click Close and then OK.
            7. Close Window.
            Mozilla Firefox

            1. Click Tools in the upper toolbar and select Options.
            2. Click the Privacy Icon.
            3. Click Clear across from the Cache option.
            4. Click Ok.
            5. Exit and re-launch the browser.

            Mozilla 1.7

            1. Open Mozilla
            2. Click on Edit in the upper toolbar and Select Preferences.
            3. Click the Advance category.
            4. Expand Advance category and click on Cache.
            5. Click the Clear Cache option.
            6. Click Ok.
            7. Exit and re-launch the browser.

            Netscape Communicator / Navigator 4.0

            1. Click Edit in the upper toolbar and select Preferences.
            2. Click Advanced.
            3. Click Cache.
            4. Click Clear Memory Cache.
            5. Click Clear Disk Cache.
            6. Click OK.

            Netscape Communicator / Navigator 6.0

            1. Click Edit in the upper toolbar and select Preferences.
            2. Click Advanced.
            3. Click Cache.
            4. Click Clear Memory Cache.
            5. Click Clear Disk Cache.
            6. Click OK.

            Netscape Communicator / Navigator 7.0

            1. Click Edit in the upper toolbar and select Preferences.
            2. Click the Triangle next to Advanced to expand it.
            3. Click Cache.
            4. Click Clear Cache.
            5. Click OK.

            Netscape Communicator / Navigator 8.0

            1. Click Tools in the upper toolbar and select Options.
            2. Select Privacy under Options on the left side of the screen.
            3. Click Cache.
            4. Click Clear Cache.
            5. Click Clear.
            6. Click OK.


        Clearing Browser Cache on Macintosh
            Safari 1.0 for Macintosh OS X

            1. Open Safari.
            2. Click on Safari in the upper toolbar and Select Empty Cache.
            3. Click Empty on the Are you sure message box.
            4. Exit and re-launch the browser.

            Firefox for Macintosh OS X

            1. Open Firefox
            2. Click on Firefox in the upper toolbar and Select Preferences.
            3. Click the Privacy Icon.
            4. Click Clear across from the Cache option.
            5. Click Ok.
            6. Exit and re-launch the browser.

            Mozilla 1.7 for Macintosh OS X

            1. Open Mozilla
            2. Click on Mozilla in the upper toolbar and Select Preferences.
            3. Click the Advance category.
            4. Expand Advance category and click on Cache.
            5. Click the Clear Cache option.
            6. Click Ok.
            7. Exit and re-launch the browser.

            Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0, 4.01, 4.5, & 5.0 for Macintosh

            1. Open Internet Explorer.
            2. Click Edit in the upper toolbar and select Preferences.
            3. Click the arrow beside Web Browser.
            4. Click Advanced.
            5. Click Empty Now.
            6. Click Ok.
            7. Exit and re-launch the browser.

  • If this is all working well, click the login button. Welcome to Ladder Slasher.

As you can see, there is a maximum number of 16 characters total.


You got 6 different buttons here:

    1. Create button: Here you can create a new character.


    • Choose a character of your choice by clicking the special line. You see the list of characters you can choose and what items these may use.
    • Write a unique name for your character into the box
    • A click on the box named hardcore creates it in the hardcore mode, this means if you die once your character is permanently dead and all the items on it as well!
    • If you are ready, click on the create button
    • If you do not want to create a character, click the cancel button. You get back to the main menu.

    • If you created a character, you can choose your new character now by clicking on its image in the main menu. A selected character will turn red.

    You now have 5 options what to do:

    Click again on this character to log in to ladder slasher with it.
    Note: If you switch chars, there is a small delay until you can log in again.

    2. Delete Button: This button PERMANENTLY deletes the selected character and all the items on it.
    Make sure, you really want to delete this character and that there is nothing on the character you might need later on.

    3. Reroll button: This button rerolls your character to level 1 if you enter the text "REROLL"
    Note: This can not be made undone if you did this accidentally or changed your mind!



    What is reroll?
    • your character is set back to level 1
    • your character class is open
    • you keep all your items
    • when you use the

    4. Change Class button:     You can choose a character class and log in again, your items are in the inventory.

    If the ladder is reset by someone, ALL characters are automatically rerolled to level 1.
    Just choose a new character class to log in. You will keep all your items!

    Note: Do NOT delete your chars, they will be gone and the items on them, too!

    5. Rename button:This button allows you to rename one of your characters you selected.



    A rename costs 100fg each and is NOT refundable and permanent after purchased ( you can of course use this service again later )
    You keep all your gear and statistics on that character.

    Enter your gold password and a new unique name you would like to choose and accept with the rename character button.
    Click on the cancel button for the case you do not wish to rename your character.


    6. Log out button: Logs you off from ladder slasher, you get back to the titel screen.


    Message Box: Any kinds of system messages will be shown here, e.g.
    • the history of messages from/to other players
    • catacomb events
    • if you are connected/disconnected from the server
    • search flood on market place
    • numbers of search attempts per session exceeded (simply log off and on again from ladder slasher to search again)
    • full inventory
    • if the server will be shutting down soon
    • ...
