I was wondering, after the update i had no sound on xbox, the dashboard and no game had any sound. I called the hotline and they just said that i could send it in and that i had a faulty cable. But i was playing hte night before and it was fine and there was sound, it was only after that i didnt have any sound. I found one post on another forum with a solution and it did work. You take out your hard drive when your xbox isnt on then you put it back in when the xbox is on and it works, but i have to do it everytime i turn my xbox on and it gets really annoying

any insight about this or anything

That seems like 100% weird cause ur sound doesn't have nothing to do with ur hd. The only thing i could think is maybe the game tag it loads has sound disabled in settings? Maybe go to console settings and make sure that u have ur correct sound settings. I still can't understand why ur hd has anything to do with ur sound lol!

haha yeah i know its really weird like, microsoft when i was called was like uhhhhhh thats weird, i checked all the settings and everything its all correct and all my plugs are in right so idk

If your xbox is still under warentee Maybe you should send it in? Cause I can not see what ur hd has anything to do with the sound lol anouther thing u might want to try for shit and giggles. put a friends hd in there and start it up and see if it does it with his ?
