I spent an hour searching for any and all parts of your error so far this is best i found:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/329293 with this...... NOTE: The four parameters in this error message may vary according to the computer's configuration

and I can't find afabd.sys ANYWHERE ...maybe its a game file ?

memtest is just a DOS program that runs off a floppy to test RAM...if u want it its here: http://www.memtest.org/ its also clean and safe

That MS article mentions a conflict between vid card drivers and windows....have you tried completely uninstalling diver for either card (thru add/remove programs) then running driver cleaner pro in safe mode THEN installing new driver from manufacturers website for whichever card DIDN'T give you the afabd.sys error?

a zillion times ive seen problems like this due to driver errors coz they werent un and re installed properly....here is the link for driver cleaner pro...it DOES work as advertised :

http://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=745

this is a clean site and a clean program I have it installed myself for when i change vid cards.
