Hey guys, I decided to make this guide because of all the PMs I receive about people not knowing how to use, or sometimes, not even knowing about the Mediator Que. First there is a quick overview in case you don't want to read the whole guide. If you do not understand something, I suggest you read the whole thing.
Quick Overview On How To Request A Mediator1) Make a trade thread [The person you're trading replies with their offer].
2) Click "Request Mediator" in the top right hand corner.
3) The mediator will PM you, reply with game name and pass.
4) Request the mediator PM you over d2jsp, and tell him your d2jsp account.
5) Once you receive the confirmation PM, follow the mediators instructions.
Mediator RequestThis section concerns traders.
Step1 - Trade Thread Make a trade thread in the trade forums corresponding to your realm [Ex - East SC Lad / West SC NL / Europe HC Lad / Etc].
The person you are trading replies with his offer.
Step2 - Requesting A Mediator You both decide you would like a mediator to help with the trade [Use a mediator if you don't trust the person!].
Click the "Request Mediator" button in the trade thread. It is located at the top right hand corner of the first post.
Only the creator of the thread can see it.Step3 - Contacting A Mediator Wait for a mediator to contact you
via PM, asking if you need a mediator to mediate the trade.
Respond to the mediator with
game name and password *when both traders are in game*.Step4 - Trading With A MediatorOnce the mediator is in your game,
he will PM both traders, *THE MEDIATOR WILL NEVER REFUSE TO PM YOU*. Make sure you tell him your d2jsp account.
Once you have received the confirmation PM, you can now carry out what the mediator asks [Usually the mediator holds the item(s), but they may hold the fg also in larger trades].
Step5 - Thank The MediatorSay thanks
Donations are welcome and appreciated, but definitely not required.
Mediator QueThis section concerns mediators.
Step1 - Contacting The TraderSend a PM to the creator of the trade thread once it appears in the mediator que. It is a good idea to add the trade thread in the PM - Explained later.
I would advise not posting in the trade thread unless the last reply was recent, or else you're bumping old threads.
If most users are offline in the thread, send a PM anyway, just in case.
Once you have sent a PM to the trader, you can remove the trade thread by clicking the red "X" beside the topic.
Step2 - Mediating The TradeWhen the trader replies with the game name, you can check the trade thread to see the realm they are on.
Join the game and send a PM to
both traders.
Mediate the trade the way you see fit [either holding just the items, just the fg, or both].
Thus ends this guide. Hopefully more people now understand how to use the Mediator Que.~Kinky.
