Hi a little guide from me smile.gif or in other words.. this is how i made my hammerdin and i find it rly usefull smile.gif

It is mainly a hammerdin.. but smite / charge with grief can be rly usefull !

This char is mainly a 1v1 char but also works fine in tvts!

I took some of the layout from Koomy's guide.. since quite a bit of it is the same smile.gif


Faster Cast Rate & Faster Hit Recovery

This build will be hitting the 86fhr bp.

you should be hitting the 125fcr bp with most setups and when dmg reduce / smite is needed.. 75 fcr smile.gif and sometimes you will have the 48 fhr bp!

Strength : Enough for coa (174 in my build) i havent had to stat any
Dexterity: Enough for maxblock (i prefer to also have max block with hotspurs)
Vitality: rest of your stats in here
Energy: You get alot of mana from rings / amu

its simply the best hammerdin helm, it helps you get 86 fhr, it have 1 skill, it boost your def, It have 2 sockeds and it have nice resistance.. you cant ask for much more!



You will also need a Paladin circlet
You must get a cirkle with High dex since it is needed for some setups.. Stats could be: 2 pala 20 fcr xx dex xx life! , you will mainly use this for switching to Eternity/Cresent moon (for bming in pubs) OR for when you use your grief setups (explained later) since you will need to keep the 125fcr

its clear to see why this is my first choice wep when you go pure hammer style, everything a hammerdin would ever need, 3 skills, faster cast rate.. bootst mana, repl life, All res, Dex and it also have the oak charges, make sure you dont use eth one since you will need the oak in some duels

This weapon is also needed since its rly usefull to stack res with.. or in case you need "abs" rings smile.gif can be socked with "um" if u want to be able to make offensive charge and get ow hits (used vs es sorcs) or you can use 20 life 15 all res jewel.. atleast that is what i use!

A weapon primarily used for bad mannering in Hammer vs hammer duels.
this weapon allows you to cast 5 wolves at any char which will basicly transforming you into a druid , allows you to easily outank defensive hammerdins
although it lacks fcr , you should have in your stash the additional items needed to hit the 125fcr bp while using cresent, "the faster cast rate helm + aracanid"

Great weapon vs walking chars, mainly used vs walk abusing sorcs/necromancers , also helpfull against bow amas and druids, and can be used vs trappers!
This weapon is also one of your main weapons and you will use alot in 1v1 duels!

A good idea is to get an upgraded version of it.. it will boost your def.. and this is ofc best hammer boots.. Dex / life / max fire res!

Different realm have different dupe res boots
so its hard to say which ones to choose for you , so just pick any nice dupe boots or even a pair of rare high triple resistances boots

This armors is ofc a must on a hammerdin since it makes you have the skill "teleport" also it add huge str which makes you able to use your items!
With this build you can use enig wyrm.. the best def that u can have with the str you got!

[Note this only exists on europe NL , other realms would have to use Verdungo as primary belt]

Best belt you could ever find for a hammerdin , insane stat boost high dr +1skill.
Verdungo does also work , but not as well! (then you need to socked coa with "Ber" "Ber" to have max dmg reduce)

Sorceress

Vita sorc (light/fire/cold) [Easy]
These chars should be easy by using just the normal hammer setup.. A simple lock and they should die in 1-2 hammers..
But this is a Hammer / smite build.. so smartest thing to do:

Fire -

Change hoto with Grief
Change Wws with Hotspurs
Change Coa with fcr helm (the dex / life one)
Change bug belt with Aracnid

Light -

Change hoto with grief
Change Coa with fcr helm (the one socked Lo + Jah)
Change amu with 2 pala 20 fcr xx dex amu
Change 1 fcr ring with "Wisp"
Change Bug belt with Aracanid

Blizz -

Change Hoto with grief
Change Coa with fcr helm (the dex / life one)
Change Amu with 2 pala 20 fcr xx all res / cold res Amu
Change 1 fcr Ring with Ravenfrost
Change Bug belt with Aracanid
Change Wws with Res boots

This way you will have 125 fcr 48 fhr (a little low fhr but its fine vs these sorcs) and you will have grief for charging / smiting..
You can now Lock them down and kill with hammers (usual hammerdin style).. you can charge them down.. and you can smite them down (chainlocking)!

This is the setups i refer to when i say "Vita sorc duels"


95 Es sorcs (fire / light / cold)[Hard]
First of all, be prepared for rly rly LOOONG duels. Depending on the playstyle of the sorc.. this can be one of the harder chars to duel!
Going pure hammer vs this chars is almost nonsence.. But if you do.. Aim for rly high hammer dmg to bring down their mana Fast.. Most sorcs will be smart enough to walk south to avoid hammers when you lock them
you should be prepared to tele below them and make a hammer field!
But again since this is a hammer / smite build.. you can change to the setup as i wrote above in the "Vita sorc duels"

Amazon

Bowazon [Easy]
Bow is an easy target in 1v1 duels with this setup.. what you is.. you play vs them like if you are a smiter:

Change To gloves with Gleg gloves (they get slowed alot)
Change hoto with Grief
Change 1 Fcr ring with ravenfrost

Javazon [Easy]
Java is an easy target in 1v1 duels with this setup.. what you is.. you play vs them like if you are a smiter:

Change To gloves with Gleg gloves (they get slowed alot)
Change hoto with Grief
Change 1 Fcr ring with ravenfrost
Change Bug belt with Thundergods

Barbs

WWBarbs[Medium]
barbs can easily tank 4+ hammers due to there massive life count, he will most likely be trying to ww away from you.
never teleport ontop of him once he has started a ww , try to tele a fraction below him and gets a fast hammer on him (but look out for WW desyncs)
tele around him , side to side is a good strategy trying not to get hit and get him in a hammer field , if he teles away lock him down fast
You can also use the cta with foh here, it can be rly usefull.. it got low dmg.. but in the end it forces him to attack you!
if the barb is playing defensive with widow maker bow , you should desynch up to him and try catch him fast while hes still on bow slot.

Assasins

WWsins [Easy]
This char is rly easy to kill , tele around her casting hammers or desynch in front of her and make a hammer field!


Trapsins [Medium - Hard]
Good ones can be difficult for you , you could try to desynch up to her and hammer her, try to catch her when shes on the move or laying new traps down.
You can also use the Hammer / Smite setup from "Vita sorc duels"
You tele / charge arround her and cast some hammers, then you charge her / smite her if you get the chance.. then she most likely try to escape.. and you can hope that she tele out in the hammers you just made.. you can also try to force her in the hammerfield by charging / smiting her in that dirrection

Hybridsins [Hard]
One of the hardest to duel, practicly a trapper thats immune to locking , you must try to get her to walk into your deysnched hammers or try to catch her with no traps down or when she's teleing away!

Druids

Melee [Easy]
Easy char to kill, Tele arround him and make hammers.. and dont lock him..

Elemental [Medium - Hard]

What you do here is you take 75 fcr and grief:

Change hoto with Grief
Change 1 fcr ring with Ravenfrost

You make hammers, then the stupid / not very skilled druid will jump you.. then you switch to smite and you most likely stun him back in your hammer field and he will die fast, if he gets away then try to use chainlock and then smite him down / kill him with hammers if his zoo is gone (he will prolly have quite low life)

Vs def druids that tele arround you and make tornados from all dirrections:

The druids will oftent use no block setup vs hammers.. you can try get him namelocked with "throwlock" when he tele arround you.. then change to charge and charge / smite him down..

Other druids will try tele in your blindspot to get a hit on you.. you can either try to hit him with smite there and stun him into hammer field (but its a bit harder since he dont tele on you)
or you can make sure there is alwas hammers in your blind spot (placing your hammer waves right and charge to the right spot)

Paladin

Smiter]Easy]
"Allthough you have the upper hand dont get too complacent,no doubt he will charge around avoiding hammers and start shift smiting
if he shiftsmiters , you should NEVER tele ontop of him , chances are he will deal conciderably high damage and kill you or deal alot of damage
tele close to him and try get a hammer or two on him , repeat this until he dies , this shouldnt really be a challenge aslong as you dont play foolish" (this part taken 100% from koomy.. cant say it better myself)

Foher[Easy]
Well.. you got alot stacked res.. so you tank alot of hits, make some chainlocking and he should die fast.. you can always add tg if needed
if the foher is good at walking / avoiding your hammers.. Change into smite setup and charge / smite him down:

Change Hoto with Grief
Change Bug belt with Tg
Change WWs with Res boots (if res is needed)

Hammer [Medium - Hard]
Hvh also known as the most boring duels ^^.. the one who wins is oftent the one who is the most defplaying.. but if its funny / friendly duels then try to get High hammer dmg + life and still keep 125 fcr and 86 fhr.. Using oak makes you able to make some good locks.. Remember he is prolly not in the same place as he is shown on the minimap due to desyncs!
but in generel booooring duels!

Necromancer

Psn Nec [Easy]
They are usualy easy to lock down and kill fast.. if you get hit by the nova.. fast tele away and use cleansing.. to reduce the time you are psn'd!
If he is hard in any way then go for 125 fcr and grief.. then you can also charge him down!

Bone Nec [Medium - Hard]
Most nec will play rly deffensive, There are 2 setups you can use:

Change coa with Shako jah
Change Bug belt with Aracanid
Change To gloves with Bloodfist

This way you keep your fhr / fcr.. but you get higher dmg / life..
Use "Oak" from hoto vs him, stay offensive and try lock him down, if he moves down then tele / charge away fast to avoid his bone spirits!
Also try make some invis hammers and make him walk into them!
Keep trying this untill he dies

Change Coa with Fcr helm (dex life one)

Try to stay clear of his bonespirits.. if he walk in his own line of spirits then charge him from the side so you get out if his "spirit spam"
Always look out since there will be alot invis spirits "in the air"
You can kill him with Hammers / charge / smite smile.gif


Hope you will like it.. ^^ i do atleast!
Its a flexible char that can be good vs all other chars.. some are ofc harder then others.. but play it well and you should be able to win all kind of chars in 1v1 duels!

I think ele druids and Bow amas are hard , even with Grief .

eledruids can be.. only few bowers can be just "medium"
